Stone Arch Bridge
4 minutes from Rest Co.
Just a 4 minute drive down from Rest Co. Take a stroll and witness the scenic three arched laid-stone bridge that is the centerpiece of the 20 acre park. The bridge was built by Swiss immigrants Henry and Philip Hembt in 1880. Get lost and explore the foliage in the fall or snowshoe in the winter.
Forest Reserve at Smallwood -

This forest reserve was protected by the efforts of the town of Bethel to preserve the environmentally sensitive area from developers. There are multiple trails that showcase the areas surrounding wildlife, natural spring waterfalls and forest. This reserve is flat giving the perfect opportunity for a morning jog, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. After your exploration, grab some lunch at the Bethel Market Cafe. Don’t forget your skis!
Round Top Trail
25 minutes from Rest Co.
A quick and easy trail in Livingston Manor with nice views of the village and surrounded by rolling hills. Perfect for a quick afternoon walk and picnic at the top. After your hike, pick up a meal or kombucha on tap down in town from Main Street Farm.
Tusten Mountain Trail
26 minutes from Rest Co.
This trail is medium in difficulty but promises stunning views of the Delaware River, stone arch bridges, and soaring bald eagles. The rewarding 3 Miles will bring you to a lookout where you will be able to see the winding Delaware River tangle below the village Narrowsburg. After your hike, stop by in town and pick up a wood-fired pizza at the Laundrette, or if you are feeling winded, perk up at the Tusten Cup.
